About RAGShelf
RAGShelf helps you pick a local tool for asking questions of your own documents (RAG, retrieval-augmented generation), so private files never leave your machine.
How we collect data
- License and release data come from each project's GitHub repository via the GitHub API.
- Hardware, document type, and offline claims for the most popular tools are checked against each project's official README or docs. Anything not yet checked is labeled unverified.
- Tools with no release in over 12 months are marked Stale.
- Every listing shows a "Last updated" date.
Independence
Featured and sponsored listings are always labeled. Sponsorship never changes the data in a listing.
